  • Language selections
  • Cleaning preferences
  • Time zones and settings

Can You Use The Roomba Smartphone App To Reset Your Vacuum?

If your Roomba connects to WiFi and your have paired it with the Roomba smartphone app, then reseting it is easy. Just open the app, go to settings (represented by a gear icon) and choose “Remove/Factory Reset” followed by the name of your vacuum. If you don’t see your Roomba listed there, make sure your phone is on the same WiFi network as your iRobot vacuum.

The benefit of using the app to reset your vacuum is that you will get the option of saving any smart maps that you customized for your home. You’ll be able to reload those maps after the reset. If you don’t backup the maps, your Roomba will have to learn your home layout all over again. You’ll also need to remake any customizations to the maps that you set before.
